everything in one place

Questions, answered plainly.

The things people wonder about before they book, and a few they only ask once they're on the table. If yours isn't here, just ask me directly.

before your first session

Getting here

Do I need to undress?

Only to the level you're comfortable with. You're draped the entire session, with just the area being worked on uncovered. Most people undress completely, plenty don't. For the Reconnection Experience you stay clothed throughout.

What should I wear?

For hands-on bodywork, something easy to change out of. For the Reconnection Experience, wear something you can breathe in.

What should I expect in a first session?

A conversation before anything else, about what's going on in your body and what you're hoping for. From there, the session follows your nervous system's own pace.

Do I have to talk during the session?

No. Some people process out loud, some go quiet almost immediately, and both are useful. I'll check in when it matters and otherwise let you be where you are.

Where are you located?

Austin, Texas. Exact studio details are shared once a session is booked.

choosing your offering

Which one is for you

How do I know which offering is right for me?

Start with Body Unfolding if you're not sure. It's the lowest-commitment way in, and I can point you toward a deeper container from there if it's a fit.

What's the difference between Body Unfolding and the Reconnection Experience?

Body Unfolding is hands-on bodywork: deep tissue, myofascial release, Swedish and orthopedic technique, paced to what your body is asking for that day.

The Reconnection Experience is breath-led. Guided breath and body awareness do most of the work, with light integrative touch supporting the breath throughout, followed by space to integrate.

Do I need to be "good at" breathwork for the Reconnection Experience?

No. There's no right way to do this, only your way. The session is guided, and it works whether or not you've ever done anything like it before.

Do you travel to me?

Yes, within 15 miles, as a $100 flat upgrade on any hands-on session.

after your session

Once you leave

How often should I come?

It depends on what you're working with. For general wellbeing, once a month is a good rhythm. If you're managing chronic pain or a lot of stress, biweekly or weekly tends to help more. We can figure out a schedule that fits your body and your life together.

What if I feel emotional afterward?

That's common, and it isn't a sign something went wrong. When the body lets go of something it's been holding, feeling often comes with it, sometimes hours later. Let it move rather than managing it, and tell me about it next time.

What can I do to take care of myself afterward?

Drink water. Move gently if you can: a short walk or light stretching keeps things from tightening back up. Give yourself permission to rest and sleep well that night.

And take a few minutes to notice how your body feels. That awareness is part of the work too.

About The Unfolding

The fuller picture lives on its own page. These are the questions that come up right before someone commits.

What if I've never done somatic work?

Most people arriving here haven't. The first session is built for exactly that.

What if I fall apart in one of the sessions?

Then we have somewhere to put it. Crying, shaking, and going quiet are all normal responses to stored material moving. Nothing about that will surprise me or rush you.

What if six weeks is too much to commit to right now?

Then start with a single session. The Unfolding will still be here, and you'll know a lot more about whether it's for you.

What if it doesn't work?

Bodies aren't predictable and I won't promise you an outcome. What I will say is that the arc is designed so that even the weeks that feel like nothing are doing something, and we'll talk honestly about it as we go.

Still wondering something?

Ask me directly. I answer these myself, and there's no wrong question to start with.
